Bartender/Marketing Associate
Orange Bike Brewing Company ("OBB") is excited to hire a Bartender/Marketing Associate to serve the public our dedicated gluten-free beer and aid in tasting room operations. This bartender position will also require the willingness to be the main social media poster for the company and assist with weekly email list content campaigns.
This position is a part-time, non-exempt position. Hours available are flexible with at least one weekend shift required. Compensation is tips plus an hourly pay range of $16-19 based on experience.

Why we need you:
In an era of great beer, millions of people are being excluded from the craft beer experience. Craft beer should be something everyone can enjoy. Orange Bike Brewing is the first dedicated gluten-free craft brewery in Portland, Maine. We seek a bartender with experience in the front of house in a food or beverage operation.
What you'll be doing:
Acting as primary social media content creator on Instagram and facebook
Film and take pictures of the tasting room while on duty to be used in social media posts and stories
Write weekly updates on news and events to be used in our weekly Mailchimp campaign to email subscribers
Pouring beer for tasting room guests
Conducting cash and credit card transactions
Assisting in opening and closing procedures as scheduled, including nights and weekends
Sweeping, mopping, and wiping down the tasting room and bathroom areas
Assist with events or tours
Troubleshooting issues associated with point of sale system and wifi
Handling any customer disputes that occur in a friendly and understanding way
Upholding and promoting the OBB core values
Maintain the cleanliness of the tasting room as needed
Will take on additional responsibilities as required
What you'll bring to OBB:
Passion and/or interest in using marketing channels to communicate with customers (training will be provided if not proficient already)
1+ years of experience in front-of-house operations for a tasting room, restaurant, or bar
At least 21 years old
Flexible and willing to transition between several different assignments throughout the day
Friendly, comfortable interacting with the public and sharing educational information
Able to work on your feet for the majority of your shift and lift up to 25 lbs
Comfortable using technology pieces (with training), including POS systems, and digital display boards
Willingness to take direction and work effectively as part of a team
Bonus Qualifications
Social media content creation experience
Experience doing targeted advertising campaigns
Experience using SquareSpace for website work
ServSafe or Alcohol Server certification
Understanding of gluten-free beer composition
Special event coordination and scheduling
