This local nonprofit is dedicated to creating a welcoming community for Maine’s immigrant families through diverse, inclusive literature. Come by for an evening of great beer, good company, and a chance to make a difference. A portion of proceeds will go toward helping I’m Your Neighbor Books provide books and resources that celebrate Maine’s newest neighbors. Join us for an unforgettable evening at Orange Bike Brewing’s First Friday Art Walk as we proudly host our dear friend Ebenezer Akakpo on Friday, November 1st, from 5-8 PM. Ebenezer’s art is more than just beautiful craftsmanship; it is a powerful reflection of his cultural heritage, education, and passion for promoting social justice. 🌍

Born in Ghana and now based in Maine, Ebenezer has traveled the world, gathering knowledge and inspiration that infuses every piece of his work. From his early days exploring the design world under his architect father’s guidance to his formal education in Italy and the U.S., Ebenezer’s journey is a testament to the power of art to shape lives and create meaningful change.

Through his Akakpo line, Ebenezer merges traditional Ghanaian designs with modern functionality, including his commitment to the Better Water Maker project, donating 70% of the proceeds from his Emekor Collection to support water purification efforts in his homeland.
